Custom Badges Without The Runaround
We are a family-run small business in Dade City, Florida, and yes, real people are actually behind this website.
We make custom metal badges for people who want something personal for their vehicle, club, business or event without turning the whole process into a giant pain.
Need one badge? Totally fine. Need a bunch? Also fine. We built Custom4x4Badges to make custom badges easier to order, easier to understand and a lot less intimidating than some websites make it sound.
Custom4x4Badges started because we wanted a better option than cheap tin, flimsy knockoffs and plastic badges trying really hard to look expensive.
We wanted something that felt more substantial and looked like it actually belonged on the vehicle. Just as important, we wanted the ordering process to make sense. You should not need to be a graphic designer, own special software or understand ten different file types just to order a custom badge.
There are no minimum order requirements and no setup fees. If you only need one badge, order one. We are not going to make you buy 25 of something just so we will talk to you.

We are a small business, so how we treat people matters to us. If you email us, there is a real person reading it. If something is confusing, ask. If something goes wrong, we want to fix it.
We are not trying to be the biggest badge company on the internet. We would much rather be the company you are happy you ordered from, come back to later, and send your friends to when they start asking where you got your badge.

What Are Your Badges Made Of?
Our custom badges are metal badges with a solid, substantial feel. They are not cheap tin and they are not plastic pretending to be something it is not.
How Are Your Badges Made?
That part stays in the shop.
We have developed our process in-house, and we do not share the behind-the-scenes details publicly. There are some things the internet just does not need a tutorial for.
What we will happily talk about is the finished badge and the fact that we stand behind every one with our warranty and Lifetime Refresh Program.
Do You Have A Minimum Order?
Nope.
Need one badge for your own vehicle? One is perfectly fine. Need a larger order for your club, business or event? We can do that too.

Do You Charge Setup Fees?
Nope. No setup fees.
You are already paying for the badge. We are not going to invent another charge just because we can.
How Do I Get Started?
Start with your idea, your wording and the artwork you want to use. Send everything over and we will create a mockup for you to look at before you place the order.
If you are already thinking, "Okay, but what exactly do you need from me?" that is why we made our How to Make a Custom Badge page. It walks you through everything without making it complicated.
What Kind Of Artwork Do You Need?
First, do not overthink this part. Seriously. A good-quality PNG works for us about 90% of the time.
You do not need to be a graphic designer. You do not need special software. You do not need to know what an EPS file is, and we are not going to quiz you on it.
If you do not already have artwork, finding something is usually pretty simple. Search online for what you want and add PNG to the end.
Want mountains? Search mountain PNG. Want a skull? Search skull PNG. Sunflower, dog, compass, palm tree, sasquatch, flamingo, whatever you have in your head. Search the thing plus PNG.
When you find one you like, save or download the actual image file to your phone or computer. Pick the biggest, clearest version you can find.
We cannot use screenshots. We know taking a screenshot is easy, but screenshots do not give us the actual artwork file we need. Please save or download the image instead.
Already have a logo or graphic? Even easier. Send us the best version you have. PNG usually works just fine, but JPG, SVG, AI, EPS and vector PDF files can work too.
You can also make your artwork in Canva, Procreate, ChatGPT or another design program. Just export the graphic itself, not a finished round badge mockup.

How Long Does It Take To Get A Mockup?
Mockups are typically sent within 2–3 business days.
We work through them in the order they come in, so if everybody on the internet suddenly decides they need a custom badge on the same Tuesday, it may take us a minute.
How Long Does A Custom Order Take?
Custom orders are completed in the order they are received. During busy periods, please allow up to 5 business days before your order ships.
Bigger orders may take a little longer. We move pretty fast, but there are still only so many hours in a day. Rude, honestly.
Can You Match My Vehicle's Paint Color?
Unfortunately, no.
Automotive paint and badge color are two completely different processes, so a vehicle paint code does not translate directly to the finished badge.
If you want a certain shade, send us the closest HEX or CMYK color code you want us to use. That gives us something much more useful than, "blue, but not too blue."
Colors can also look different from one screen to another, so an exact screen-to-finished-product match cannot be guaranteed.
What Does White Mean On My Mockup?
This one trips people up, so you are not the only one asking.
White areas on your mockup represent the exposed metal of the badge.
White on the mockup does not mean white color. It is showing you where the metal will remain visible on the finished badge.
What Is Your Warranty?
We keep this one simple.
Every Custom4x4Badges badge comes with our 1-year no-questions-asked warranty.
If your badge needs to be replaced during that first year, there is no replacement cost and no shipping cost.
After that first year, Mother Nature takes a toll. Sun, rain, mud, road grime and life outside eventually win arguments with almost everything.
That is why we have our Lifetime Refresh Program. After the first year, refresh your badge anytime for a flat $10, shipping included.
To help your badge last as long as possible, keep it simple when cleaning. Basic soap and water are your friend. Pressure washers and harsh chemicals are not.
